After a year and a half it is time to shut down the Snapshot server. The team and I have worked really hard at making our server a wonderful little place to be and I thank them and all past and present players for many happy hours of gaming, friendship and all I’ve learned and experienced, both good and not so fun 🙂 .
I have come to this decision for health reasons. I simply can’t put all the time and energy needed into keeping the server alive at the moment and don’t know when/if I will be able to again. The staff team are all also in periods of their lives when they cannot take over for different reasons, and I don’t want them to be under any pressure to try to keep the server going while I need to rest or be away. Instead of working us all to the bone and making the server something that gives a bad conscience instead of joy, I feel it’s better to take a break for an undefined period of time.
I know a few of you have invested a lot of time and commitment in the server and in Raise Atlantis and don’t want to leave you high and dry. I also would like to keep in touch with you through the forum and in-game for if/when we decide Malomas Snapshot Server can be brought back. Miss and Phelps also would like to keep on playing together with each other and as many of you as possible. I have therefore decided to subscribe to a Realms Server for them and as many players as we can fit on it. More information on the specifics of the Realms option will be posted in the Server Community Forum section of the forum.
The Snapshot Server and the Creative Server will be shut down by the end of the month at the latest.
If you decide Realms is not for you, please let us know and don’t be a stranger – pop by the forum and say hi now and again!
